Nick Becker enters his first year as a graduate assistant working with the women’s soccer program for the 2009 season. A Groton, S.D. native, Becker played soccer all four years of high school, earning all-conference honors during three of those years.
From there he attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa and played soccer for a year before transferring back to South Dakota to attend Presentation College in Aberdeen. He played three seasons for the Saints, earning All-UMAC Conference honors in three of those years, including being named an All-American in 2006 and Honorable Mention All-American in 2007.
Becker was no slouch in the classroom as he earned Academic All-Conference honors all three years at Presentation College.
He graduated from Groton High School in 2004 and earned his B.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Presentation College in 2009, while holding a double-minor in Coaching and Sports Management.
Becker will be pursuing a master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Coaching at Northern State.
