Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University swim team looks to build off their best performance of the season when they take part in the UMary Pentathlon on Saturday. The meet between the Wolves and Marauders will start at 1 p.m. at the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves enter the meet with a 2-4 record in dual meets this season
• Northern State is coming off their first invitational win in program history, after winning the Dragon Invite last weekend with 998 team points
• Maddie Gonzales was the meets top point scorer, accumulating 207 total points for the Wolves
• Gonzales earned four individual victories at the invite in the 50 yard backstroke (28.67), 100 yard backstroke (1:00.63), 200 yard backstroke (2:11.44), and the 100 yard IM; she was also a part of the 200 yard medley relay (1:53.61) and the 400 yard medley relay (4:13.16) which both earned victories as well
• Other swimmers to earn individual wins at the Dragon Invite were Lauren Forsyth in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.29), Mayson Sheldon in the 50 yard breaststroke (32.40), and Marialuisa Avila in the 50 yard butterfly (27.54)
• Haley Osborne notched five top-3 finishes for the Wolves last weekend, including runner-up finishes in the 200 yard backstroke (2:15.67), 100 yard freestyle (55.01), and the 1000 yard freestyle (11:20.27)
• Gonzales ranks third in the NSIC in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.31 coming at the Augustana Invitational
• Forsyth ranks third in the NSIC in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:09.52, also coming at the Augustana Invitational

UMARY STORYLINES

• The Marauders enter the meet with a 4-3 record in dual meets this season
• UMary finished as the runner-up in last weekend's Dragon Invite, finishing with 913 team points
• UMary had one relay team earn a victory last weekend, as Allie Elliott, Mady Scherwinski, Korie Riely, and Andrea Lee swam to a time of 8:22.61 in the 800 yard freestyle relay
• Lee recorded one individual win in the 1000 yard freestyle, and three runner-up finishes in the 200 yard freestyle (1:58.82), 500 yard freestyle (5:21.08), and the 1650 yard freestyle (17:57.17)
• The only other Marauder to earn an individual victory was Camille Merimee in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.98
• UMary had two swimmers record NCAA B Standard times at the Augustana Invitational, Breena DeLegge in the 50 yard freestyle (23.83) and Andrea Lee in the 500 yard freestyle (5:02.95)
• DeLegge ranks in the top-10 fastest times in the NSIC for the 50 yard freestyle (1^st - 23.83) and the 100 yard freestyle (6^th – 52.58)
• Lee ranks in the top-10 fastest times in the NSIC in the 200 yard freestyle (6^th – 1:53.83), 500 yard freestyle (3^rd – 5:02.95), 1000 yard freestyle (5^th – 10:33.70), and 1650 yard freestyle (3^rd – 17:28.39)

LOOKING BACK TO OCTOBER

• Prior to seeing each other at the Dragon Invite last weekend, the last time that Northern State and UMary competed against each other in a dual meet was the season opener on October 1^st when the Marauders earned a 119-85 victory in Aberdeen
• UMary leads the all-time dual series 10-4, and have won the last eight straight in the series
