Three Wolves Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships

Indianapolis – The NCAA released the 2021 Outdoor Track and Field Championships qualifiers this afternoon, with three Northern State Wolves on the list making the trip to Grand Rapids. Tava Berg and Jordyn Huneke will represent the Northern State women, while Tanner Berg will compete for the NSU men.
 
Tanner Berg will kick-off the week for the Wolves on Thursday, May 27th at 1 p.m. (CT) in the hammer throw. He threw a school record 68.60m earlier this season, which ranks him fourth nationally heading into the championships.
 
Huneke will also compete on Thursday in the pole vault, which is slated to begin at 4:45 p.m. (CT). She holds the tenth best mark in the country, clearing 4.10m. In addition, Huneke is the school record holder in the event.
 
Tava Berg will be in action at 4:15 p.m. (CT) on Saturday in the high jump. She enters the competition with the 15th best mark in the country, jumping 1.73m. That mark is the Northern State outdoor record in the event.
