Baseball Series with Sioux Falls Moved to Tuesday

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball doubleheader versus the University of Sioux Falls has been moved to Tuesday, April 6. The contest was pushed up a day due to poor weather conditions on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. from Fossum Field.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves enter the week with an 8-7 record overall and 7-4 mark in the NSIC after sweeping Winona State over the weekend
  • Northern is hitting .233 as a team with 101 hits, 25 doubles, four triples, five homeruns, 53 RBI, and 59 runs scored
  • Reece Ragatz and Karson Hesser lead the team hitting .377 and .303 on the year
  • Ragatz has scored a team high 11 runs and knocked 20 total hits, including five doubles, one triple, and two homeruns
  • Spencer Sarringar is second on the team with 14 hits and leads the Wolves with 13 RBI
  • The Wolves pitching staff posts a 4.71 ERA through 109.0 innings pitched with a .239 opponent batting average and 121 strikeouts
  • Seth Brewer was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week and leads NSU with a 3-0 record on the mound, holding a 2.19 ERA

SIOUX FALLS STORYLINES
  • The Cougars head to Aberdeen with a 7-10 record overall and 3-10 mark in the league

  • Tyler Cate leads the team hitting .320 on the year with 16 hits and ten RBI
