Baseball Faces Minot State from Fossum Field

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball is nearing the end of their 15-game home stand with a 3-game series versus Minot State this Saturday and Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday from Fossum Field.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves enter the weekend with an 11-10 record overall and 10-7 record in the league
  • Northern is hitting .244 with 151 hits, 34 doubles, seven triples, ten homeruns, 81 RBI, and 91 runs scored this season
  • Justin Hutter leads the offense with a .348 average, notching 23 hits and 13 runs scored
  • Ramon Vega Jr. is slugging a team best .589, notching six doubles, one triple, and three homeruns, as well as 15 RBI and ten runs scored
  • The NSU staff posts a 4.61 ERA through 160.0 innings pitched with a .246 opponent batting average and 165 strikeouts
  • Seth Brewer leads the starting rotation with a 2.41 ERA, 4-0 record, and 43 strikeouts
 
MINOT STATE STORYLINES
  • The Beavers head to Aberdeen with a 12-9 record overall and 10-6 mark in the NSIC

LOOKING BACK TO 2019
