Burnsville, Minn. - Tanner Berg is the third Northern State student-athlete to be named a NSIC Player of the Week today. It is Berg's fourth honor of 2021 as the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week.

NSIC Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Tanner Berg (Throws, Sr., Watertown, S.D. / Watertown HS)
- Won the weight throw and shot put at the UMary Marauder Festival
- Threw 70-10.75 (21.61m) in the weight throw, over 19-feet further than the second place
- Weight throw mark would rank as the second best throw in the nation, only behind is own mark of 71-6.25
- Weight throw also surpassed the NCAA automatic qualifying mark
- Added a heave of 55-1 (16.79m) in the shot put
- Named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season
