Aberdeen, SD – Coming off a third straight dual victory, and second one at home, the Northern State Wrestling programs looks to keep their momentum going when they travel to Indianapolis this weekend for the 40^th annual Midwest Classic. The Midwest Classic is hosted by the University of Indianapolis and will take place in Nicoson Hall. Matches are set to being Saturday, December 18 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, December 19 at 9:30 a.m. In this year's Midwest Classic, there will be 67 of the top 120 DII Wrestlers ranked by the NWCA Coaches, with 17 of the top 25 ranked teams attending.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves are 3-0 heading into this weekend's event with wins over Concordia Moorhead (37-9), Minot State (19-13), and Southwest Minnesota State University (24-19)
• Kolton Roth (141) is ranked No. 11 in the country for Division II
• Marcus Placide (197) finished first at the Dragon Open with 22.5 team points, with victories by way of technical fall, fall, and MFF
• Placide also secured a win (MD 9-1) for the Wolves against SMSU
• Wyatt Turnquist enters the weekend 3-0, with wins over Concordia Moorhead (Fall), Minot State (Dec 10-3), and SMSU (TF 15-0)
• James Burks also enters the weekend 3-0 securing two early season wins at the 157-pound weight class and one at the 165-pound weight class
