Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State men's basketball program held off Black Hill State 92-90 Saturday afternoon at Wachs Arena to end its first homestand of the season and improve to 4-2 overall. The Wolves trailed by two at the break, but rallied late and held on to claim their third straight victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Black Hills State took the early lead, but could never press its advantage into a lockdown lead. The Yellow Jackets, who lived by the long ball on Saturday with 31 3-point attempts on 55 total shots in the game, led by a single possession, 48-46, at the break.
- Northern began its final rally midway through the second half, but still trailed late in the game. The Wolves did not take the lead for good until just over a minute left in the game on a driving layup from Sam Masten, two of his career-high 34 points.
- Masten again drove the lane to put the cap on Northern's scoring with 20 seconds remaining.
- Black Hills State managed just one free throw in the game's final 3 minutes of play.
