HOW IT HAPPENED
- Minot State got out to a quick 1-0 lead in the fifth minute, as Sofia Lewis beat the defense to a breakaway pass from Sofia Galvez and sent the ball into the back-right corner of the net
- Northern State's best scoring opportunity came in the 33rd minute off a free kick, when a header from Calista Kocmick just went over the top of the goal
- Alexus Townsend kept the Wolves in the match with two big saves in the second half; the first came in the 62nd minute when she moved up in the box and made a diving save on a shot from Chloe Allen, and the second came in the 73rd minute when she made a diving save on a shot from Sofia Lewis
- The Beavers put the game out of reach in the 74th minute, when Chloe Allen scored off a cross pass from Sofia Lewis
- MSU held the advantage in shots 17-14, 8-6 in shots-on-goal, and 3-0 in corner kicks
