Bismarck, N.D. – The Northern State women's soccer team and NSIC contender University of Mary fought to a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon. The tie snapped a two-game losing streak for the Wolves and the defense held the Marauders scoreless for only the second time this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first scoring opportunity for Northern State came in the 26th minute when Kelsey Selden took a shot from the right side of the box that was deflected out of play for a corner kick
- The Wolves corner kick led to a shot by Summer Carlson after she gained control of the ball that was headed out and took a shot that went right of the goal
- UMary's best scoring opportunity of the game came in the 54th minute when Hannah Richter sent a shot towards the top-right corner of the goal, however Alexus Townsend was able to get a hand on the ball to knock it away for a corner kick
- Northern's third and final scoring opportunity of the game did not come until the second overtime period, when DeAnna LeMire fired a shot that was stopped by the UMary goalkeeper just to the right of the net
- UMary controlled the match offensively out-shooting Northern 11-3, 5-0 in shots-on-goal, and held the advantage in corner kicks 3-1
