Men's Basketball Set for Regular Season Finales

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team closes out the regular season this Friday and Saturday from Wachs Arena. The Wolves will face the University of Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Minot State at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
 
QUICK HITS ON THE NORTHERN STATE WOLVES
                • Northern returns to Wachs Arena with a 20-6 record overall and 16-4 mark in the NSIC
                • The Wolves sit atop both the NSIC Overall and North Division standings with two games remaining in the regular season
                • NSU is shooting 49.7% from the floor, 37.7% from the 3-point line, and 70.4% from the foul line this season; averaging 81.2 points, 35.2 rebounds, 16.2 assists, 9.7 turnovers, 5.9 steals, and 4.4 blocks per game
                • Northern is both out-scoring and out-rebounding their opponents by 10.4 points and 1.5 boards per contest
                • Parker Fox leads three Wolves averaging double figures notching 20.1 points per game as well as a team high 9.2 rebounds per game
                • The sophomore is shooting a team best 59.8% from the floor with 59 blocks
                • Mason Stark and Gabe King follow averaging 15.1 and 11.4 points per game respectively
                • Stark has been potent from 3-point land with 52 made buckets, shooting 57.1%
                • Andrew Kallman and Tommy Chatman lead the team with 101 and 76 assists respectively this season, with both starters averaging 9.0 points per contest

MATCHING UP WITH THE MARAUDERS
                • The University of Mary returns to Aberdeen with an 11-15 record overall and 6-14 mark in the Northern Sun
                • The Marauders are shooting 43.3% from field goal range, 34.1% from beyond the arc, and 74.7% from the foul line this season
                • They are averaging 69.9 points, 34.5 rebounds, 12.2 assists, 12.2 turnovers, 5.3 steals, and 3.3 blocks per contest
                • UMary has been evenly matched with their opponents, being out-scored and out-rebounded by under one point and one rebound per game
                • Matthew Kreklow and Jaylan White lead the team averaging 14.3 and 11.8 points per game this season
                • Kreklow is also pulling down a team best 8.3 rebounds per contest and shooting 55.0% from the floor
                • Four Marauders have recorded 30 or more made 3-pointers this season, led by Wyatt Carr with 40 buckets and a 51.3 field goal percentage from beyond the arc
                • The Marauders are led by head coach Joe Kittell in his fifth season at the helm
