Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach Paul Sather the fifth member of his 2019 signing class today with the addition of Austin Holt (Littleton, Colo.). Holt will join Jaden Graham (Lewistown, Mont.), Jaylen Robinson (Hamilton, Ohio), Brady Danielson (York, Neb.), and Tommy Chatman (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) with the Wolves in the fall of 2019.
 
"Austin is a very skilled forward that comes from one of the top high school basketball programs in Denver. He's got a strong body, a great skill set, and can really shoot the ball with range," explained Sather. 
 
Austin Holt is a 6-foot-5, 200-pound forward out of ThunderRidge High School. He was a 2-year starter and senior team captain for the Grizzlies under the direction of head coach Joe Ortiz. As a senior, Holt averaged 12.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 36.6 percent from the 3-point line. He was named to the Continental League honorable mention team in 2018 and the league first team the following year. In addition, Holt was honored on the 2019 Colorado All-State second team. He is the son of Jen and Mike Holt.
 
Sather added, "His game reminds us a lot of Bo Fries… a versatile player that can guard multiple positions and has a really good feel for the game. He comes highly recommended from his high school coach, Joe Ortiz, who has won multiple 5A state championships in Colorado. "
