Burnsville, Minn. – Northern State senior, Luke Chevalier has been named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week following his shutout performance versus Concordia-St. Paul. He is the first Wolf to earn player of the week honors in 2019.
 
NSIC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
#17 Luke Chevalier (RHP, 6-1, 200, Sr., R/R, Barnstable, Mass. / Sturgis Charter HS)
- Pitched a complete game shutout in a 12-0 win over CSP on Monday
- Had a perfect game through four innings
- In seven innings, allowed three hits, one walk and struck out six of the 25 batters he faced
- The shutout dropped his season ERA by .66
 
CATCHING UP WITH THE WOLVES
- Northern State threw three shutouts over the week allowing 13 hits, 15 strikeouts, and five walks
- The Wolves offense hit .276 over the weekend with 14 runs, three doubles, one home run, and nine walks
- In the final game of the series scored 12 runs, 14 hits, and six walks
- John Werner pitched 6 scoreless innings in game one, giving up three hits, two walks, and struck out two
- Cody Curfman pitched game two allowing five hits, one walk, struck out eight in seven scoreless innings
- Luke Chevalier pitched a complete game shutout giving up three hits, one walk, and six strikeouts
- Isaiah Chevalier went 3-6 over the week with four runs scored, one double, and one stolen base
- Mikey Adams hit .500 over the weekend with three runs scored and 14 assists at shortstop
