Des Moines, Iowa – The Northern State University track and field team took on the prestigious Drake Relays and the Grand View Viking Classic on Friday.  The Wolves tallied three top-10 finishes and one event wins from the two meets, as well as one school record.
 
MEN
HIGHLIGHTS

• Tanner Berg won the hammer from the Viking Classic with a throw of 60.96m
• Jake Olson finished in eighth in the discus at the Viking Classic throwing 45.27m
• The 4x400m relay team of Devin Sheridan, Kelson Brewer, Isaiha Fletcher, and Itoitz Rodriguez notched a time of 3:18.70

 
BEYOND THE RESULTS

• Recording a season best for the Wolves was the 4x400m relay (Sheridan, Brewer, Fletcher, Rodriguez)

 
WOMEN
HIGHLIGHTS

• The 4x100m team of Dakota Hutzler, Hanneke Oosterwegel, Shanice Burrell, and Emma Rezac finished with a time of 49.16 in 18^th overall
• Oosterwegel ran to a time of 14.21 in the 100m hurdles and went on to place sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.52 as the top Division II finisher
• Jordan Menken threw 43.61m (143-01) in the discus in 17^th place
• The 4x400m relay team of Oosterwegel, Isabel Kinzer, Madison Barnes, and Rezac finished in a school record time of 3:52.91 in 11^th place overall

 
BEYOND THE RESULTS

• The 4x400m relay team broke the school record which was set back in 2017 by Madison Barnes, Elizabeth Raecke, Molly Wynn, and Hanneke Oosterwegel with a time of 3:54.07
• Recording a season best for the Wolves was Hanneke Oosterwegel (400m hurdles),
