Fayette, Iowa – The NWCA released today the fourth regional and national wrestling rankings of the 2018-19 season. Seven Wolves landed in the individual region rankings, as Northern sits in seventh as a team. Northern also recorded one individual wrestler in the national rankings and sits at No. 25 in the dual rankings and is receiving votes in the tournament rankings.
 
The rankings committee was asked to provide a team duals ranking in addition to their usual team tournament ranking. These are separate rankings with the tournament rankings based on the methodology below, while the dual rankings are a compilation of each region's top 25 and discussion to break ties if possible.
 
Tournament Rankings Poll Methodology: This is a tournament-power index ranking. The poll is not based on a team's dual strength. TPI Point Totals are broken down by the following individual rankings: 1st=20pts, 2nd=16pts, 3rd=13pts, 4th=12pts, 5th=10pts, 6th=9pts, 7th=7pts, 8th=6pts, 9th=4pts, 10th=3pts, 11th=2pts, 12th=1pt. The TPI point totals will be lower than the final actual NCAA Championship points because it does not include bonus points.

• Holds a 3-2 record overall this season and 3-1 mark in NSIC action

#4 Kolton Roth – 141

• Holds an 11-3 record overall and 4-2 mark in NSIC action
• Has five decision wins, four victories by fall, and two major decisions
• Dropped three spots from the No. 1 ranking on January 11
• Named NSIC Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 12
• Won the Dakota Wesleyan Open

#3 Caden Moore – 149

• Leads the team with a 20-5 record overall and 5-1 mark in NSIC action
• Has 14 decision wins, five major decisions, and one technical fall
• Remains at No. 3 from the January 11 region rankings
• Won the Finn Grinaker Open and placed second at DWU and sixth at the Midwest Classic

#6 Billy Holtan

• Holds a 13-10 record overall and 2-3 mark in NSIC action
• Has six decision wins, two technical falls, and two victories by fall, as well as three forfeit wins
• First regional ranking of the 2018-19 season

#6 Kaden Campbell

• Holds a 14-6 record overall and 3-3 mark in NSIC action
• Has seven victories by fall, three decisions, three technical falls, and one major decision
• Returns to the region rankings after sitting at No. 3 in the first announcement of the season

#5 Diego Gallegos

• Holds a 14-9 record overall and 4-2 mark in NSIC action
• Has 11 decision wins, one technical fall, one victory by fall, and one sudden victory
• Remains at No. 5 from the January 11 region rankings
• Placed fifth at both the DWU Open and Finn Grinaker Open

#6 Harrison Townsend

• Holds an 8-5 record overall and 1-3 mark in NSIC action
• Has seven decisions victories and one win by fall
• Returns to the region rankings after sitting at No. 6 in the first announcement of the season
