Bethany, Okla. – The No. 15 Northern State University men's basketball team had a slow start Saturday evening versus the host No. 9 Southern Nazarene. The Wolves trailed by 18 at the half and despite out-scoring the Crimson Storm in the second, fell by six in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second straight evening, the Wolves took the difficult path entering the second half with a large deficit to overcome
- Northern trailed 35-17 and answered back out-scoring Southern Nazarene 44-32 in the second half however it just was not enough
- The Crimson Storm opened the spread in the second half lengthening their lead to as much as 25 points and the Wolves showed fight as they battled to bring the score within three (64-61) with 1:19 remaining
- SNU however was able to knock down 4-of-4 from the foul line and hold the Wolves comeback at bay
- The Wolves shot 41.8% from the floor, 23.5% from the 3-point line, and 55.0% from the foul line in the game
- They tallied a game high 28 points in the paint, 16 points off the bench, and 15 points off turnovers
- NSU combined for 40 rebounds, 11 assists, six blocks, four made 3-pointers, and three steals in the game
- Defensively they held Southern Nazarene to 21-of-63 (33.3%) from the floor and 7-of-25 (28.0%) from the beyond the arc
