Fayette, Iowa – The NWCA released today the first regular season rankings of the 2019-20 season with two Northern State University Wolves ranked in the top-10 of their weight classes and the team receiving votes in the top-25 poll.
Dayne Morton and
Caden Moore are both ranked eighth at 133 and 149 pounds respectively.
Morton leads the team this season with a 12-0 record overall, having won the Jamestown Jimmie Open, Dakota Wesleyan Alumni Open, and Concordia Moorhead Finn Grinaker Open.
Moore holds an 11-1 record thus far winning both the DWU Alumni Open and Finn Grinaker Open.
In addition to the national rankings, the Wolves sit fifth overall in Super Region Five with six wrestlers regionally ranked. The regionally ranked wrestlers include No. 3 Morton (133), No. 3 Moore (149), No. 2
James Burks (157), No. 6
Billy Holtan (165), No. 5
Marcus Placide (184), and No. 6
Diego Gallegos (197).
