Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team is set to welcome the University of Mary tomorrow evening for a pair of NSIC contests beginning at 7 p.m. from the Presentation College Dome. The Wolves enter the midweek contest with a 17-13 record overall and 7-3 mark in the NSIC.
 
Northern is hitting .320 as a team this season, with 253 hits, 143 runs scored, 53 doubles, three triples, 15 homeruns, and 133 RBI. On defense the women have tallied 589 putouts, 290 assists, and 52 errors with a .944 fielding percentage. The NSU pitching staff holds a 4.26 ERA through 196.1 innings pitched with 91 strikeouts and a .277 opponent batting average.
 
Kennady Thompson leads seven of the nine starters hitting above .300 this seasonw ith a .413 average. The sophomore has tallied a team leading 38 hits, 15 runs scored, and .620 slugging percentage. Courtney Sjerven is close behind hitting .388 on the year with 38 hits, 15 runs scored, and a team high 24 RBI. Jamie Fisher leads the Wolves with a 13-8 record ovrall, posting a 2.79 ERA through 135.2 innings pitched. The junior has sat down 72 batters via strikeouts and holds her opponents to a .247 batting average.
