Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team concludes the regular season this Tuesday and Wednesday on the road at Minot State and U-Mary. The Wolves will take on the Beavers on Tuesday and Marauders on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. each night.
The Wolves are coming off a split with No. 16 Minnesota State and Dickinson State at home last week. NSU fell to MSU 42-3 and defeated DSU 25-21.
Blake Perryman led the team with two wins over the weekend defeating Dylan Herman (MSU) in a 14-7 decision and Caden Haugen (DSU) in a 17-0 technical fall.
Tanner Olson pinned Matt Carlson (DSU) at 2:37 in the match, after taking a quick 6-0 lead.
Kaden Campbell notched a technical fall win over Logan Wagoner (DSU) with a score of 18-2.
Griffin Hieb battled up a weight class for the 13-11 decision win over Jacob Berg (DSU).
Perryman leads the team with a 15-2 record this season and 4-0 mark in the NSIC. He has seven decision and five technical victories to lead the team as well. Olson has gone 6-4 since kicking off his season this semester, and 4-2 in the league.
Josh Moore has tallied two victories in conference action, while Campbell and
Diego Gallegos each have recorded one.
About Minot State
- The Beavers enter the match-up with a 2-15 record overall and 0-6 mark in the league
