ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State's Jordan Menken (track and field) and Tanner Berg (track and field) have been named as the Qdoba Athletes of the Week for their athletic efforts last week.  Each week, Qdoba Mexican Grill honors two athletes for their efforts on the field of play.
 
Jordan Menken threw a school record and national provisional mark of 14.07m in the shot put. She finished third in the event from the SDSU Holiday Open. Menken added a personal record throw of 14.36m in the weight throw.
 
Tanner Berg opened his season with a school record and national provisional mark in the weight throw. He won the event from the SDSU Holiday Open with a 20.25m toss. Berg finished ninth in the shot put throwing 16.05m. The mark was just .02m off the provisional standard in the event.
