AUSTIN, Texas – College Sports Communicators announced the 2024-25 Academic All-America® men's track & field/cross country teams today with Northern State University vaulter Sam Tremelling honored. Tremelling earned CSC Academic All-District® honors at the end of June and advanced to the nation ballot. He is the first CSC Academic All-American® in program history for the men's track and field program at Northern State, landing on the third team.
 
The NCAA All-American landed on the CSC Academic All-America® third team, holding a 3.96 GPA, while majoring in Human Performance and Fitness. Tremelling earned the first All-American honor of his career in May of 2025, competing in the pole vault at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Tremelling won back-to-back NSIC Championships during both the indoor and outdoor season and made his second nationals' debut. The junior broke the Northern State school record with a 5.22m jump and landed himself a first team All-America honor in eighth overall.
