Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team will close out their 10-game home this weekend with a 4-game series against Winona State University. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday. NSU athletics will honor the 15 Wolves seniors in between games on Saturday.
The Wolves enter the weekend after two much needed wins over Minnesota Crookston on Thursday. Northern is now 19-23 overall and 12-18 in league action sitting tied for 11
th with the Golden Eagles and still on the hunt for a conference tournament berth.
Lucas Lorenz leads five Wolves hitting above .300 this season with a .338 average and a team leading 47 hits, 11 homeruns, four triples, and 47 RBI. The Wolves are hitting .281 with 355 hits, 239 runs scored, 69 doubles, 11 triples, 24 homeruns, and 213 RBI.

Nick Hoffard, and
Thomas Sertic each have five wins this season. Chevalier leads the NSU starters with a 1.59 ERA through 56.2 innings of work. He also has a team leading 60 strikeouts.
Kris Johnson has been a solid closer for the Wolves with three saves this season and a team leading 1.20 ERA. As a staff the Wolves hold a 4.98 ERA through 321.2 innings pitched with 230 strikeouts and a .280 opponent batting average.
