Aberdeen, S.D. – After splitting with Minnesota Duluth from home this Tuesday, the Northern State softball team will continue NSIC action on the road this weekend versus the No. 11 Minnesota State Mavericks and the Concordia- St. Paul Golden Bears. The Wolves are currently seventh in the conference with an overall record of 25-18-1 and an NSIC record of 10-9.
On Tuesday, Northern State defeated the Bulldogs 3-1 in game one, however dropped game two 4-2.
Rachel Albright led the Wolves offensively, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and two runs batted in.
Jamie Fisher picked up the win from the mound by holding UMD to four hits and one earned run in seven complete innings pitched.
The Wolves continue to excel from the plate throughout the 2017 season, with a team batting average of .306. As a unit, NSU has tied the 2012 single season record of 66 team doubles. The Wolves have also recorded 23 homeruns, led by sophomore

The Wolves will face the Mavericks at 1 and 3 p.m. from Mankato, Minnesota and then travel to St. Paul, Minnesota to take on the Golden Bears at 12 and 2 p.m.
