Wolves Set for Midweek Doubleheader with Minot State

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team hits the road this Tuesday for a midweek match-up with the Beavers of Minot State. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. between the two teams.
 
NSU bounced back in their third week of NSIC action going 4-2 against Bemidji State and Southwest Minnesota State. The NSU offense came alive hitting .332 through the 6-games including a week high .371 in the game two win over Bemidji State. The Wolves combined for 61 hits, 36 runs scored, 13 doubles, two homeruns, and 29 RBI. Defensively they committed nine errors, but tallied three errorless outings. Through the first 28 games of the season, the Wolves are hitting .284 with 239 hits, 148 runs scored, 45 doubles, eight triples, ten homeruns, and 132 RBI with a .963 fielding percentage. Recording wins for the Wolves on the mound were Nick Hoffard, Louie Carlos, Andrew Nichols, and Luke Chevalier. Kris Johnson notched two saves versus the Mustangs, while Isaiah Greene tallied one. Seth Sullwold led the team recording a hit in each of the six games with a .524 average. He knocked out five doubles and four RBI for the Wolves. Ben Carolin was second on the team hitting .455 with ten hits, notching at least one hit in every game. Lucas Lorenz was third on the team with a .409 average tallying a hit in each game with a total of nine on the week.
