Box Score Tucson, Ariz. – The Northern State University baseball team concluded their spring trip to Tucson with a run rule victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State University. The Wolves downed the Aggies in eight innings with a score of 10-0. With the win the Wolves improve to 5-4 overall.
 
It was a career day for Northern State junior Lucas Lorenz as the Wolves left fielder hit for the cycle notching two triples, a single, a double, and a homerun. Lorenz led the team going 5-for-5 in the win, as the only Wolf to record multiple hits. He also tallied a season high seven RBI to lead the team. Northern tallied one run in the first, two in the third, fifth, and eighth, and three runs in the seventh.
 
Combining for the other seven team hits was Mike Severson, Mikey Barreneche, Jack Schmidt, Ben Allen, Seth Sullwold, Easton Lopez, and Ben Carolin with one hit each. Schmidt, Allen, and Sullwold tallied the final three RBIs for the team as Northern busted out ten runs on 12 hits in the game.
 
Luke Chevalier started on the hill for the Wolves throwing six complete shutout innings. The sophomore gave up just three hits and struck out a season high nine Aggie batters. Sam Krapf entered in relief throwing the final two innings for the Wolves. Krapf gave up just two hits and struck out three in his third appearance of the season.
Northern will return to action next Friday through Sunday as they travel to William Jewell for three non-conference contests. First pitch between the two teams is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. on Sunday from Liberty, Missouri.
