Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 11 Northern State University volleyball team will make their third NCAA Regional appearance tomorrow from Marshall, Minnesota. The Wolves will face off against the No. 7 Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth at 5 p.m. from the PE Gym on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State.
Northern earned the fourth seed in the NCAA Central Region Tournament as they went 23-5 overall in the regular season. The Wolves are coming off a 3-0 loss to No. 18 Augustana in the NSIC Tournament and over two weeks of rest. Heading into the contest the Wolves are hitting .287, while their opponents are hitting .176. NSU is averaging 14.0 kills, 13.1 assists, 16.8 digs, 1.4 aces, and 1.9 blocks per set. The Wolves rank nationally in assists per set (27
th), attack percentage (5
th), and kills per set (28
th).
Hailey Busch is leading the team with 332 kills, averaging 4.15 per set. She is followed by Laura Snyder and
Jenna Reiff with 277 and 270 kills respectively. Snyder is hitting a team leading .383, while Reiff is second on the team hitting .322.
Ashley Rozell ranks eighth nationally averaging 11.89 assists per set, while also holding a team leading 55 service aces.
Jaiden Langlie leads the Wolves defense with 419 digs, followed by
Holly Vancura with 353. Reiff is leading the team at the net with 102 total blocks.
