Wolves Face Minot State in Fourth Straight Double-Header on the Road

. – The Northern State University softball team will compete in their fourth straight double-header on the road tomorrow against Minot State University. The Wolves return to action after going 0-4 against Wayne State and Augustana University this past weekend. NSU took the Vikings to extra innings in their final contest of the weekend, but fell 5-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning. Northern State is now 12-22 overall and 2-8 in NSIC play.

Seniors Macey Engel and Kelsey Gale led the team against Wayne State as Engel went 2-3 with both RBIs in game one and Gale notched two of NSU's four hits in game two. Against Augustana, Brittney Lash recorded three hits in the two match-ups with one walk, one RBI and one run scored.

Kelsey Gale continues to lead the Northern State offense batting .371 with nine doubles and three homeruns after starting 34 games. From the mound, Jamie Fisher has maintained a 3.21 ERA, picking up 53 strikeouts in 85 innings pitched for the Wolves.

Northern State will take on Minot State tomorrow at 2 and 4 p.m. from the Herb Parker Stadium.
