Game One – Lees-McRae College

The Wolves accumulated base runners in the first three innings of action, but were unable to convert them into a run until the fourth inning. Senior Macey Engel started the top of the fourth with a lead-off walk. Michaela Liebl followed by hitting a fielder's choice where she would replace Engel at first. Junior Lauren Kunz stepped up the plate to hit a line drive triple to left center, scoring Michaela Liebl for the first run of the game.

Missy Elkins and the rest of the Northern State defense would go on to hold Lees-McRae College in the final three innings, recording the 1-0 victory.

Northern State accumulated six hits in 20 total at bats. Lauren Kunz led the Wolves offensively, going 2-3 with the team's one RBI. Senior Kalie Maiden added to the threat posting two hits for NSU.

Missy Elkins recorded her third victory of the week, improving to 5-4 overall from the mound. The junior shutout Lees-McRae in seven complete innings, holding the Bobcats to four hits while notching two strikeouts in her outings.

Game Two – Edinboro University

Northern State got shaken up in the first two innings of action, allowing ten runs off of nine hits and one error. The Wolves looked to get their bats going in the top of the fifth inning as Junior Courtney Moore came in to pinch hit. With two outs, Moore ripped a single up the middle for Northern State's second hit of the game.

Katelyn Dilts answered with another hit up the middle to put runners on first and second. Due up next, Lauren Kunz was hit by a pitch in her at bat to load the bases. Freshman Courtney Sjerven approached the plate next with two outs and the bases loaded, however, the Edinboro shortstop made a leaping catch for the final out of the game.

The Wolves recorded three hits, off the bats of Jess Vernon, Courtney Moore and Katelynn Dilts. Jamie Fisher recorded the loss for NSU, falling to 3-4 on the year.

Northern State will return to action from St. Joseph, Missouri on Friday March 18th at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. against Missouri Southern State and Missouri Western State.
