Live Video Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team will continue their home stand this weekend versus Augustana College and Wayne State. The Wolves will faceoff with the Vikings, Friday at 1 and 3 p.m., and with the Wildcats, Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., from Moccasin Creek Complex. Northern is 18-11 overall this season, and 5-1 in Northern Sun Conference play.
The Wolves are coming off a mid-week split with St. Cloud State. NSU fell in game on 0-3 before coming back to take game two, 9-0, in five innings of play. Senior
Kami Smesmo tallied her 12
th win and third shutout of the season versus the Huskies.
Brittney Lash led NSU in the win, going 2-for-3 from the plate with three RBI and a double.
Rachel Albright is leading the team in average with a .325 mark on the year.

Kelsey Gale are second on the team with 26 hits apiece. Northern is hitting .271 as a team, with 203 hits. Smesmo is leading the NSU staff with 12 wins and a 2.67 ERA. In 110.0 innings pitched, the senior has tallied 65 strikeouts.
