Live Stats Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team will remain on the road this weekend versus Wayne State College. The Wolves and the Wildcats are set to match-up for a pair of doubleheaders at 1 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday.
The Wolves are 7-8 on the year and 1-3 in conference play, heading into their second week of NSIC competition. Wolves currently holding batting averages up .300 led by
Lucas Lorenz with a .357 average and .821 slugging percentage.
Eric O'Bryan has tallied a team leading 18 hits, while
Mark Abrahamson is leading the Wolves with 12 RBI. Lorenz, Abrahamson, and
Tyler Gripentrog each have two homeruns this season. Northern is 19
th in the nation currently in doubles per game with a 2.4 mark.

Wayne State in 8-8 on the year and 3-1 in Northern Sun Conference play. Wayne took three of four games from Minot State in the opening weekend of conference play at home. Chris May leads the team with a .353 average, while Nathan Ackerman sits in a close second with a .344 average. Ackerman has tallied a team leading 21 hits, five homeruns, and 19 RBI this season, with a .754 slugging percentage. Kyle Henneback is leading the Wildcats on the hill with a 2-1 record and 1.00 ERA. He has made six appearances this season, tallying 13 strikeouts. Dylan McGill is second on the team in ERA with a 2.53 mark, tallying three wins and a team leading 20 strikeouts this season. The WSC staff is holding their opponents to a .251 average on the year.
