Softball Opens 2015 Campaign Tomorrow

2015 Softball Prospectus
Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team opens the 2015 season tomorrow from West St. Paul and the West St. Paul Dome. The Wolves will face off against Minnesota Duluth in a nonconference match-up.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 on the year, after a two game sweep of Wisconsin-Parkside in Wednesday action from the West St. Paul Dome.

The Wolves enter the season with eight starters returning from a season ago, while adding six freshmen to the mix. In 2014, NSU finished with a 16-28 record overall, and 9-19 record in conference play. Seniors Eryn Yancy and Kami Smesmo were picked as Northern's pre-season players to watch.

The two squads did not play a season ago, due to poor weather conditions. In 2013 the Wolves went 1-3 versus Minnesota Duluth from the West St. Paul Dome and Swisher Field.

NSU will open the 2015 season at home versus MSU Moorhead, March 24th with game times set for 2 and 4 p.m. from Moccasin Creek Softball Complex.
