The Northern State baseball team continues its home stand and looks to keep its winning streak alive as eighth-ranked Minnesota State comes to Fossum Field for a four-game series on Friday and Saturday. The Wolves are currently riding a 10-game winning streak.

The Mavs currently have six starters hitting above .300 on the season and are led by Max Waletich's .382 average. On the mound, Minnesota State is led by Jason Hoppe's 7-1 record. Hoppe has a 2.73 ERA on the season and has struck-out 63 batters. Bryce Bellin leads the squad in ERA with a 1.96 clip in 16 appearances this season out of the bullpen. Taylor Nawrocki is a perfect 5-0 on the season for the Mavs.

The Wolves are 19-10 on the season and their 12-6 record in the NSIC is fourth-best in the league. NSU is coming off a sweep over Minot State on Tuesday. The Wolves won a sloppy game one 7-5 and dominated game two 8-1. Northern was led by strong pitching in the wins as Colton Boucher and Cody Johns both pitched complete games in the victories. Boucher's win gives him his fourth consecutive on the season.

The 19 wins this season are the most for the Wolves since the 2005 season when they went 19-24 overall on the year. NSU's 12 conference wins are also the most in program history since making the transition to NCAA Division II.
