The Northern State baseball team begins its week long Spring Break trip Saturday as the Wolves will be playing nine games over the next six days down in Tucson, Ariz., in the Tucson Invitational Tournament played at the Kino Sports Complex.
The Wolves begin their week against California State, San Bernardino Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, NSU will be playing a pair of NSIC teams in Southwest Minnesota and St. Cloud State at 1:30 and 5 p.m., respectively. March 10, the Wolves will play Southwest Minnesota in a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.
March 13 the Wolves will be facing Dakota Wesleyan at 10 a.m. and in the afternoon will play NSIC foe Concordia-St. Paul at 2:00. Northern will finish the week March 14 with a doubleheader against Bemidji State beginning at 10 a.m.
For fans that would like to follow along online, the games against St. Cloud and Southwest will have live stats for them.
The Wolves will also be playing five junior varsity games down in Tucson. Northern will face Miles Community College March 8, Simpson (Iowa) on the 9
th, Mount Marty and Dakota Wesleyan on the 12
th and Wheaton on the 13
th.
NSU opened its season with a 4-3 victory Thursday over Bethany (Kan.) after the Wolves' first two scheduled opponents of the season had unplayable field conditions.
