Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State University softball team is set for a six game weekend in St. Joseph as they participate in the Missouri Western tournament. The Wolves will match up against Missouri Western, Washburn, Northwest Missouri State, Pitt State, Central Missouri, and Emporia. Northern is 4-6 overall and currently on a three game loss streak after being swept by Washburn on Wednesday.
Fans will be charged a $5.00 admission fee each day of play, while children six and under will be admitted for free. Games will be played at the home field of the Griffons as well as the Hertiage Complex. All games at the Missouri Western Complex will highlight the home team, with no neutral sites being played from that location. Field information and directions are listed on the tournament website.
Northern will match-up with Missouri Western, 12 p.m., and Washburn University, at 4 p.m., beginning Friday March 21st.
Saturday play will bring contests with Northwest Missouri State and Pitt State at 12 and 4 p.m. from the Heritage Complex.
The Wolves will round on the weekend Sunday against No. 12 Emporia State and Central Missouri with games set for 9 and 11 a.m. from St. Joe.
