The Northern State baseball team evened its record to 4-4 on the season with a pair of wins Thursday in its fourth day of play at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. The Wolves opened the day with a 5-4 victory over Dakota Wesleyan and then capped the day off with a 5-2 win over Concordia-St. Paul.
Robbie Rocamora keyed the Northern offense on the day as he recorded his first two home runs of the season. Rocamora hit a homer in both games for the Wolves.
NSU got a pair of solid pitching performances on the day.
Cody Vandever picked up the win for Northern against DWU. Vandever evened his record to 1-1 on the year.
Andrew Crisman picked up the save in the victory over the Tigers. In game two,
John Eckstein got the ball for the Wolves and pitched a solid 7.1 innings to pick up the win. Eckstein allowed two runs and struckout four in the game.
Kris Keating came on in relief to pick up the save for NSU, pitching 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Robert Fahlin and
Eric O' Bryan each had two RBI in the win.
Northern finishes its Spring Break trip Friday with a doubleheader against Bemidji State. Game one is set to begin at 11 a.m.Â
