Aberdeen, S.D. - The North Division's top seeded Wolves will travel to take on in-division opponents St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth this weekend. NSU will match-up against the Huskies Friday at 6 p.m. and tip-off with the Bulldogs Saturday at 4 p.m. SCSU and UMD currently sit at fourth and fifth in the NSIC North with conference records of 6-6.
Northern State prolonged its win streak to nine games this past weekend with two wins against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State. The Wolves score 69 points in each game as they out-rebounded their opponents and played impressive defense.
Rachel Krogman led the team each night as she averages 21.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in the two games. After recieving votes in last weeks WBCA top 25 poll, NSU ranks 22nd in the nation going into match-ups with St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth. Northern continues to lead the North Division of the NSIC and sits second in the overall standings just behind Wayne State. NSU will need a team performance on the road this weekend.
About the Huskies
The Huskies posted a 19-9 overall and 14-8 NSIC record a season ago as they were able to capture the North Division title. This year's squad returns only two starters from a year ago (Price and Benson). SCSU currently sits fourth in the NSIC North with six conference losses this season.
Last Match-up
In 2012-13, the Huskies and Wolves were 1-1 in NSIC North Division play. NSU took game one with a score of 62-51, while St. Cloud game out on top in game two 59-48. The two teams historically have close games.
About the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs finished the 2012-13 season with a 14-13 mark overall and 11-11 mark in the Northern Sun. They housed the North Division player of the year in Katrina Newman. Duluth returns a wealth of talent and experience this season. Currently the Bulldogs are fifth in the North Division just behind the Huskeis with a 6-6 conference record.

NSU was 2-0 a season ago against the Bulldogs with game scores of 61-57 and 72-42. Over the last five seasons the Wolves are 4-5 against the Bulldogs in NSIC play.
