Rochester, Minn. – The Northern State Wolves had their historic record breaking season come to a close at the hands of #12 Winona State Warriors on Thursday afternoon in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Softball Tournament being held in Rochester, Minnesota.
The seventh seeded Wolves were limited to just five hits from the NSIC Pitcher of the Year Stacey Struzynski as the Warriors took the 10-2 victory.
Whitney Luhring hit a leadoff home run in the fourth inning while
Brittany Huback scored on an unearned run in the fifth for the Wolves two runs.
Luhring posted a 2-3 effort while driving in the two Wolves runs to lead the offensive charge.
Kelli Bornander was charged with the loss ending the Wolves season with a 13-12 record, the second most wins for a Wolves pitcher in program history.
Today's game proved to be the final game for the Wolves seniors who exhausted their eligibility with four years playing for the Wolves, including

Ashley Gabler, Britany Huback,
Whitney Luhring,
Brooke Norris,
Rachel South and
Cat Zimmermann.
