ABERDEEN, S.D. –
The Northern State baseball squad dropped a pair of mid-week Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games to 19th-ranked St. Cloud State on Wednesday afternoon, falling by scores of 16-2 and 21-12.  The games were the start of a 10-game home stand to close out the 2012 regular season.

The Wolves fall to 14-25 overall and 7-17 in league action, while the Huskies – ranked third in the latest NCAA Central Region poll – improved to 31-10 on the season and 16-6 in the loop.

Zach Miller and Robbie Rocamora each collected two hits and a pair of RBI in Game 2.  Miller scored three times and Rocamora twice in a 12-run effort that started off with a 3-run first inning.  NSU erupted for six runs in the bottom of the fourth, forcing the Huskies into four pitching changes in the inning.  The outburst was not enough, however, to stymie the Husky offense in the late going.

The Wolves play host to the Concordia-St. Paul in a four-game weekend series.  First pitch is set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday followed by a noon start on Sunday.
