ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University softball doubleheaders slated for Saturday and Sunday have been moved up one day to Friday and Saturday due to rain in Saturday's forecast. The Wolves will host Concordia-St. Paul on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. and St. Cloud State at noon on Saturday.
The games mark the first home games of the 2011 season for the Wolves and first-year head coach
Kristi Villar. The Wolves were originally scheduled to open their home slate on Tuesday, but both Tuesday's and Thursday's games were postponed due to poor field conditions.
NSU enters the weekend at 6-16 overall and 0-4 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. Concordia is 20-8 overall and 3-1 in league play after splitting with SCSU on Wednesday. The Huskies, who will play at U-Mary on Friday, are 16-11 overall and 1-1 in conference action.
