Northern State's Jodi Reinchmidt hit a jumper on an assist from Krista Rabenberg to lift NSU over Minnesota Duluth, 53-51 Friday night in Duluth in Northern Sun Intercollegiate action.

With the win the Wolves extend their winning streak to six and improve their record to 13-5 and 10-4 in the NSIC while UMD moves to 9-9 overall and 7-7 in the NSIC.

The lead was never more than four points for either team in the second half as both NSU and UMD swapped scores back and forth the entire period, tying the game up seven times.

At the 5:15 mark Brittany Euerle gave the Wolves a three point lead by going 1-2 to put Northern State up, 50-47. Nearly a minute and 15 seconds later, UMD's Emma Van Winkle added two points for the Bulldogs to give the Wolves a one point advantage. 

Another UMD score with just under three minutes left in the game gave the Bulldogs their final lead of the game before Alison Kusler hit one of two free-throws with a half a minute left in regulation to tie the score up at 51 each. 

Minnesota Duluth called a time out with 16 seconds left in the game.The Wolves' final play included a screen for Rabenberg who received the ball at the top of the key where UMD's defense double-teamed her. Rabenberg dumped the ball off to Reinschmidt on the baseline who sank NSU's game-winner.  

Reinschmidt and Rabenberg paced  the Wolves with 14 points each while Reinschmidt grabbed five boards and Rabenberg three. Kusler contributed 11 points while Euerle dished out a game-high six assists.

Northern State will take on Bemidji State tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. in Bemidji.
