KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Northern State University softball squad found itself on the other side of a 3-2 decision for the second straight game on Thursday, falling 3-2 to Southern Indiana to start off Thursday's action before dropping an 11-3 decision to Saginaw Valley in the nightcap.

After gaining an early 1-0 lead after two innings of play, SIU rallied to take a 2-1 lead through the first four innings.  NSU then staged a late-game rally to tie things up in the top of the sixth inning, only to watch SIU again steal the thunder with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

The Wolves went down in order in the top of the seventh, allowing SIU to escape with the 1-run victory.

NSU then ran into a buzz saw in the form of Saginaw Valley in Game 2.  SVU scored six runs in the second inning to take control of the game and never looked back, claiming the 11-3 win.
