NSU VS. UMC GAME 1 BOX SCORE

The Wolves were out-hit 7-10 in the first game of the afternoon, but the NSU pitching staff managed to get out of tight jams in a number of innings to stay in the game.  The Golden Eagles went up 2-0 with runs in the second and third innings, but they stranded runners at third base in each of the first five innings played.

Tom Keiser led off the fourth inning with a walk and later scored on a James Paul single.  Two additional batters reached base on walks in the fifth.  A batsman hit by pitch loaded the bases and the Wolves took the lead on the next at-bat.  Lucas Jung sac flied to left field to score Adam Kampsen and an error by UMC's shortstop allowed Matt Tales to score the go-ahead run.  The Wolves added a security run in the sixth and took the game by a final score of 4-2.
