NSU VS. VCSU GAME 2 BOX SCORE

VALLEY CITY, N.D. - The Northern State baseball team split wins with Valley City State on Thursday afternoon.  They dropped a close first game, falling by a score of 5-6.  The squad made a huge turnaround in game 2, winning 25-5 in six innings (the NAIA has a mercy rule in baseball).  The Wolves play at Minnesota, Crookston on Wednesday, April 30.

Setting the tone for the second game was a seven-run second inning and a 12-run sixth inning.  Tom Keiser had a jaw-dropping performance, hitting both a grand slam and a three-run homer in the final inning of play.  He went 5-for-5 at the plate and also drew two walks before finishing the decision with ten RBI's.  Adam Kampsen added another four RBI's and scored four runs.  Andrew Lunsetter crossed the plate six times.  Matt Tales pitched the complete game.
