ABERDEEN - SD- The Northern State Wolves had their first day of double headers against the Beavers of Bemidji State, but due to 6 costly errors over two games, the Wolves dropped the first game 20-1 and the second 9-2. The Bemidji Beavers improve to 11-16-1 overall  and 9-5 in the NSIC. The Northern State Wolves fall to 7-23 overall, and 5-17 in NSIC play.  

The Northern State Wolves came out hot early against the Bemidj Bears in game one of Saturdays double header at Fossum Field. The Wolves would take a early 1-0 lead after the first inning, however, they would go scoreless for the next 6 innings and commit three errors to give up the game 20-1.

Aaron Kappes was the one bright spot for the Wolves going 1 of 2 at the plate, getting one of the Wolves two game hits. Adam Kampsen was 1-2 at the plate and had the Wolves only RBI of the game. 

 Matt Geissler gets the loss for the Wolves, pitching 2 and a third inning to fall 0-6 on the season.

Game two for the Wolves would start off much like the first game. They Wolves fell  behind 2-0 early in the second inning and  would go scorelss until the last inning of play before  Kampsen and Tom Keiser would knock ones out of the park. Kampsen and Keiser both went 1-3 at the plate and combined for the only two RBI's of the game. 

The Wolves defense contained the high scoring Beavers for most of the game, but due to three costly errors the Wolves dropped their second game of the day 9-1. 

Brock Pashen went 6 innings for the Wolves giving up only 7 hits on the day. He now falls to 1-6 on the year for the Northern State Wolves.

The Wolves wil be back in action tomorrow afternoon in another double-header against the Bemidji Beavers, first pitch to be thrown and 12:00pm.
