ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team took it to the visiting Peacocks of Upper Iowa University Saturday and emerged with a 3-0 win to give
Lisa Schriver her 199th career win. The win was a very nice Senior Day present to
Melanie Perez,
Stephanie Nygaard, and academic senior
Jill Rasmussen. Set scores for the match were 25-22, 25-17, and 25-13.

The Wolves were led by
Jill Rasmussen and her 14 kills on a .542 hitting percentage, as well as
Melanie Perez' 11 kills and eight digs. Kyla Ysteboe also had seven kills and seven digs, and Caitlin Oelke had four kills and seven digs to go with three service aces.
Megan Gilbraith had 33 assists and
Stephanie Nygaard closed out her career at Wachs Arena with 22 digs, giving her 30 total matches with 20+ digs during her career, tops on the NSU charts since 1998.
The Wolves are now 15-13 on the year and 6-12 in the NSIC.
They finish out the regular season next weekend when they travel to Mankato, Minn. to take on the Minnesota State University Mavericks on Friday, and then Saturday they head to Marshall, Minn. to take on the current #6 ranked Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs.
Northern State is a NCAA Division-II member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
