In 2006, Schriver led the Wolves to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance with a no. 8 seed in the North Central Regionals. The most successful Northern team coached by Schriver was the 2002 squad that finished at second place in the NSIC with a mark of 14-4.

Just three years into her head coaching tenure at Northern, Schriver was receiving recognition as one of the top coaches in the region, as she earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1998. Schriver has coached ten athletes to All-Conference squads, with another 13 being named Honorable Mention.

In addition to her coaching duties at NSU, Schriver is a key figure behind the scenes of all of Northern’s athletic programs. A native of Lowell, Wyo., Schriver received a K-12 physical education degree from Black Hills State University in 1985. She also taught in Hot Springs, S.D. and coached cross country before moving to Aberdeen. Schriver moved on to coach volleyball for eight years and basketball for three years at Aberdeen Central High School before earning her master’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in physical education from Northern State in 1994.

Schriver is married to local businessman, Steve Millard, and lives in rural Aberdeen.
