CROOKSTON, Minn. - The Wolves took a win in their first road match of the weekend, downing UM, Crookston (4-17, 2-9 NSIC) 30-23, 30-26, and 34-32. They will bring their 10-9 overall record and 5-6 NSIC mark to Bemidji State for a 3:00 pm match Saturday afternoon.

Northern recorded a season high 14 ace serves in the match as the Golden Eagles struggled in their passing game. Kelsey Aden recorded ten kills, five blocks (1 solo, 4 assisted) and three ace serves in the NSU win, while Emily Knaeble led all players with 11 kills and also had three ace serves. Heather Galich had five aces against UM, Crookston. Northern hit .154 with 42 kills. Stephanie Nygaard had 17 of the Wolves' 52 digs.

The Golden Eagles hit .078 with 39 kills. They improved their hitting performance in the final game and also used tough serving to push the match to extra points. Amber Meyer was the only UMC player to record double figures in kills (10). They led the Wolves in blocking on the match with 9.0 to NSU's 8.0.
