Hutzler opened her 2021 season with a solid day of performances versus Jamestown. The senior won both the 55m dash (8.55) and the long jump (5.65m). In addition, she was a member of the winning 4x400m relay team, which tallied a time of 4:19.75. Hutzler’s long jump victory broke the Northern State school record, a feat that she accomplished on all three of her attempts. She shattered the previous mark of 5.52m set by Heidi Nelson (1993) and Katie Anderson (2005).
