Ian Smith had a standout game in the NCAA Central Region championship, ultimately leading to being named the NCAA Central Region MVP. In the game against the Mavericks, Smith played thirty eight minutes, making 7-of-14 field goals, 4-of-6 3-point shots, with 22 total points. In this game alone, Smith also had two rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals. Throughout the season, Smith leads the Wolves in field goal attempts, assists, steals, and minutes. Thus far, he has been named to the All-NSIC first team, NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball All-Tournament Team, and the D2CCA All-Region second team.
