Monte Meyerink competed in the NSIC Championship in the Multi Events over the weekend earning two team points heading into the full championships. In the first day of competition, Meyerink finished the day in the top-10 with 3352 total points. He notched times of 11.497 in the 100m dash, 55.14 in the 400m dash, jumped to 6.26m in the long jump and 1.99m in the high jump, and throwing 11.34m in the shotput. On the second day of competition, Meyerink ran a 16.03 in the 110m hurdles, threw 36.00m in the discus, cleared 3.40m in the pole vault, and throwing 58.74m in the javelin, leading the field. The senior finished his day with a time of 5:07.88 in the 1500m run, coming in at seventh place overall. Meyerink tied his seventh place finish from the 2013 season, but scored 784 points better.
